ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

We are looking for a versatile individual to support the work of the directors and help manage a small non-profit organization. The person should have a combination of the skills mentioned below and should be willing to learn other areas. The role shall be defined based on the competencies of the best suited applicant.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
  • Managing company ledgers.
  • Coordinating internal audits.
  • Verifying balances in account books and correcting discrepancies.
  • Prepare Income & expenditure accounts for the year-end and submit them for audit.
  • Encoding accounting entries for data processing.
  • Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts.

FECT generates novel, salient and time- sensitive information that are inadequately communicated. Consensus knowledge on climate, and environment and its relevance to society in a range of sectors needs to be communicated as well. In our work on the societal end, we do need to engage with communities and experts. A non-profit scientific, engineering and socio-economic research organization is looking for a graduate (or Masters) with experience in Epidemiology, Biology or Zoology who has research experience and is genuinely interested in a career in research. a) The work for a Non-Fiction Writer shall include themes related to social science, history, memoir and journalistic content. The work is to be presented as feature articles, book-length manuscripts as stories in reputed websites.

b) The work for the Social Science Writer includes working on projects on manmade and natural disasters, the vulnerability of societies to risk and manuscripts on Universities/Education, Technological History and Future Studies.
